2013 Fresh Halibut
Our first delivery will arrive March 27th 2013
Our opening price is $9.99lb for head off whole fish and $17.99 for fillet. Prices should remain fairly stable as quotas are used in all U.S. halibut fisheries. Each participating boat has a certain number they can catch between March and November. Oregon Halibut is similar except the quotas are very small and boats can only fish about 4 weeks a year. The first Oregon Halibut should arrive around the middle of May. Oregon Halibut grow slower than Alaskan and they are generally smaller. An average adult Halibut is usually between 7 and 20 years old. Rarely will they live past 30.
